Hi Friends,
After a few blah books (Wellness) and movies (Good Grief), I’m so excited to have finally found a book that I’m liking and a fun short stories compilation that’s free if you’re an Amazon prime member (read more in the weekend reads section below!)
I’m highlighting 3 recipes I think you’ll love:

Everything I read and listened to in January 2024 -Sharing my ratings for the 9 books I read/listened to in January, the list includes 3 5-star reads!
Personal stories
Freddie found a giant stick, which was really Ben’s stick he had me lug home after dropping him off at the bus stop. Hashtag boy mom.
We went out to eat (Open Flame if you’re local) and we showed Freddie how to twirl pasta around a fork and he was AMAZED! lol, too cute
There’s a no food in the living room rule. So what did the kids do? They pulled up their chairs riiiiiight to the edge of the carpet and had their snacks there lol.
Freddie wanted to take a picture of Frankie and I with him, I love it.
Weekend reads
Finished reading Wellness by Nathan Hill 3/5. This book did not live up to the hype for me sadly. It felt really long and boring. “NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • OPRAH’S BOOK CLUB PICK • AN NPR BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR • The New York Times best-selling author of The Nix is back with a poignant and witty novel about a modern marriage and the bonds that keep people together. Mining the absurdities of contemporary society, Wellness reimagines the love story with a healthy dose of insight, irony, and heart.”
Something fun, amazon has a collection of short romances as part of The Improbably Meet-Cute. A reader told me about this (hi Nancy, thank you!) and if you have Amazon prime it’s FREE in Kindle (I downloaded the kindle app on my phone to read it). So far I read The Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez 5/5 and it was so good!
Also started listening to The Good Part and I’m loving the story and the accents

(Penzey’s Justice seasoning is my favorite seasoning to sprinkle on the salmon.) Then I portion it out into several meal prep containers to make salmon Ceaser salads to take to work for the week.
