Hi Friends,
I’m back after a week hiatus. I was sick last week and solo parenting (Nick had a work trip), I got sick from Sam, then Freddie got sick, then Nick came home and a day later got sick with something else and then Ben got sick, so I just didn’t have time to write to you. I missed you and am happy to be back.
Ever wonder what to bring to a potluck? Today I’m sharing 5 potluck recipes!
Potluck pasta salad - this one a favorite of all who try it, it’s yummy and feeds a crowd!
Antipasto skewers - great cold appetizer and super easy to make
Zucchini au Gratin - a really wonderful vegetable side dish. I always make this in an aluminum pan so I don’t need to worry about getting my pan back.
Tortellini pasta salad - this quick pasta salad only has 5 ingredients!!
Smore bars - this recipe, omg, it’s so good and screams summer!
On the blog this week
Love List - In todays Love List I’m sharing about the most delicious (and just so happens to be sugar free) lemonade and the melatonin gummies that have been helping my sleep.
Personal stories
OMG, when Nick was gone, Sam took to dumping things. He thought it was the funniest thing and I wanted to cry. I’d come into the living room and there would be an ENTIRE box of cereal dumped out. When I’d try to clean it and get him to stop, he would pick up handfuls and throw them. It happened 3 times (2 boxes of cereal and one large container of peanuts!!) It only didn’t happen more because we didn’t have any more cereal lol. And the floor has never been more clean, I was vacuuming daily!
My babies were sick and tired, they all passed out in halloween costumes lol
A little fresh air and water did wonders!
My little princess ballerina Frankie had her dance recital!

My favorite summer recipe is an orzo salad with tomatoes, olives, onions, herbs, feta and a citrusy vinaigrette.
