Birthdays and robots
Birthday celebrations, cake, and an awesome resource if you’re curious about Artificial Intelligence-ChatGPT robot technology
Hi Friends,
Birthdays have always been a “big deal” in my family.
Not big in terms of gifts or anything, but in terms of it being a special day.
My mom made us our favorite cake (my older sister has her birthday 3 days before mine, and still my mom would each make us each our own cakes and hang and take down and then hang decorations again.)
We had a bunch of beautiful birthday traditions that I now do with our kids.
My husband, Nick has taken over and omg wow, this year. It’s pretty much the sweetest thing ever (pun intended). He made a cake (with the kids AND did the dishes!) We also drove down to Chicago to have a fancy dinner with 2 of my sisters. I truly felt surrounded by love and am so grateful.
Weekend reading and other great things
I thoroughly enjoyed this article What if you just didn’t clean that up via The Cut and loved the mention - I do love a good office pic and this one makes me want to organize (and read more).
I’ve come to realize that I’m a tidy-ish person. I like a level of cleanliness, it just makes me feel better…small tidiness, like shoes lined up on a mat, dishes done, no big piles…lived in… nothing crazy, but definitely cleaner than just letting it be mentioned in the article lol…where do you fall?
If you’re looking for a great book, THIS ONE - the story is so good - favorite book I’ve read all year (here is what I read in Feb.)
I bet you’ve been hearing all about AI (artificial intelligence) and something called ChatGPT. I know I have been (NYT article here) and have been curious. I heard about this resource, a big google doc where an instructional designer (and new mom) used ChatGPT for life and business. So for anyone curious about AI-ChatGPT who loves long-form content, let me introduce you to 'My Week With CatGPT'- it's really well done and fascinating. I never mind spending money on educational resources (this is only $9). I've just started playing with ChatGPT and was so fascinated by the examples in this resource. One thing I've found ChatAI cannot do? Give me a list of daycares between two zip codes or help with childcare, lol. Anyway, if you're interested in learning about ChatGPT and how it works and examples of how it can help in life and business, this was a fascinating resource.

Reader Comment
Sometimes I am making and trying so many different recipes, I forget some of my favorites and the vanilla scones (with an orange glaze) that this reader is talking about are SO GOOD, and a friend just asked if I had a scones recipe THIS ONE - it’s a combination the petite vanilla scones at Starbucks and the mini orange glazed ones from Panera.
“Just finished making these. They are delicious! Very easy to make. Because I had no sour cream on hand I substituted buttermilk, which is what I always use in my scones. Thank you for sharing this recipe!”
