Hi Friends,
Time is really flying, it’s colder weather here and I cannot believe it’s almost Halloween!!
You can make the cutest Frankenstein cookies and a seasonal snack mix (made with fall colored M&Ms or Reese's pieces) and if you’re having a get together, might I suggest setting up a chili bar.
Target already has all its Halloween stuff on sale, I picked up a few of my favorites, these, for the kids.

Personal stories
We went to the apple and pumpkin orchard and had such a great time (and the apples are soooo delicious.) We go to Barthel Fruit Farm. On my to-make list are:
The library had an evening story time and it was so nice, they had craft stations around the room and a photo booth for the kids.
Weekend reads
Read Yellowface this week. It was really engrossing and a page turner, but I felt like it was so so amazing up until the very end, and then the ending left something to be desired, maybe I didn’t want it to end? That’s just me though. Overall it was a very good read. I’d give the book a 4/5. “White lies. Dark humor. Deadly consequences… Bestselling sensation Juniper Song is not who she says she is, she didn’t write the book she claims she wrote, and she is most certainly not Asian American—in this chilling and hilariously cutting novel from R.F. Kuang, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Babel” Have you read this?
Reader comment
Holy heck, this was good! I’m an iced coffee fan as well and just bought some Starbucks Caramel syrup (I like just a hint of sweetness), when I saw this recipe. This was so easy and tasty (and a lot more natural than the caramel syrup ingredients!)! Perfect alternative to pumpkin flavor for fall! I guess my syrup bottle will be shelving it for a bit! Thanks for the recipe!.
