Hi Friends,
Today I wanted to share a little behind the scenes of my small business with you. You can scroll below if not interested.
About 90% of my business revenue comes from website traffic. Website traffic is largely impacted by Google. You go to Google, enter the name of a recipe and get delivered results. It’s every websites’ hope that their content is not only ranked high and shows up, but also clicked on. When someone clicks on your website and sees ads, pennies add up, so the hope is to get lots of website traffic. Some sites get millions of monthly pageviews. I’m not there (yet! here’s to dreaming).
Google has made some changes to their algorithm which negatively impacted me, because my site content doesn’t show up in search results like it used to. Womp womp.
There’s no real fix, you can try to improve your site content to what one thinks they want, but it’s hard to recover and the rules are always changing.
It’s a bit scary to be at the mercy of something that changes so quickly and can impact revenue so completely, plus there’s a million and one other similar sites.
My content is FREE for you to consume, which is amazing for consumers.
You can support content creators like myself by visiting my website and commenting or leaving feedback if you make a recipe and purchasing through my affiliate links.
If you have the means, subscribing to my newsletter as a paid subscriber or buying one my cookbooks is very very appreciated.
Thank you for all your support,
Phi

Reader comment
Holy heck, this was good! I’m an iced coffee fan as well and just bought some Starbucks Caramel syrup (I like just a hint of sweetness), when I saw this recipe. This was so easy and tasty (and a lot more natural than the caramel syrup ingredients!)! I guess my syrup bottle will be shelving it for a bit! Thanks for the recipe!
Comment on iced maple latte
p.s., no fancy equipment required!!
