Sweet AND savory muffin recipes to try...here's to the weekend
Muffins for any time of day and hello from the sky
Hi Friends,
Hello from the sky (or the airport, or possibly a rental car filled with snack wrappers)! This newsletter is coming to you on schedule, but for the past four days, we’ve been on our first-ever air travel family vacation - wrangling suitcases, chasing kids through terminals, and making core memories (hopefully more of the magical kind than the meltdown kind).
By the time this lands in your inbox, we’ll be heading home, so if you’ve got a spare good travel vibe to send our way, we’ll take it!
Now, let’s talk muffins - because nothing says “comfort food” like a batch of muffins waiting for you after a whirlwind trip. They’re the perfect grab-and-go snack, and bonus: they freeze beautifully! Make a batch, stash them in the freezer, and you’ll always have something delicious on hand for busy mornings, lunchboxes, or those “we just got home from a trip and have no groceries” moments.
Let’s get baking!

Savory muffins

On the blog this week
Continuing with the muffin trend I shared a recipe for sourdough berry muffins. You guys, these are SO good. I ate 3 the first time I made them and Sam ate 4! I’ve made them several times since and they’re just perfection. You can use fresh or frozen berries, and don’t worry if you don’t have a sourdough starter, I’ve included the substitute.

p.s. to this: do you guys want more sourdough content?
The weekly love list includes a heartbreaking moment behind why I’m leaving posivite affirmations in Frankie’s lunch, a frizz hair tamer, a lovely audiobook and much more!
Personal stories
We LOVE the library, I caught this cute moment of Nick reading to Sam and Ben listening. Did you know that you can check out ‘explorer passes’ to your city’s museums and attractions and it let’s you get in free? I happened to grab one to the art museum and the domes, can’t wait to go with the kids.
If you ever have a big empty box, draw the kids outline and let them color it. HOURS of fun!

I just made your Greek chickpea salad in a jar recipe and LOVED it! I wasn’t sure I’d like it since there’s no meat in it, but it was super filling and tasty
