Valentines recipes...here's to the weekend
Recipes to fall in love with, and newsletter platform drama
Hi Friends,
Valentines day is less than 2 weeks away!! I’ve got some really cute recipes suggestions below. But before I share…this email may look a little different from last weeks/the past few months.
We’re back with Substack - it’s just an email provider switch because the provider I was using (Kit) all of a sudden froze my account because they were upgrading me for some reason I cannot understand, it’s not like I had a bunch of new subscribers so I’d move to another tier or something, they just froze it! They used to be renowned for their customer service (why I switched to them to begin with) welp, they’ve switched over to AI customer service and I tried chatting with it and emailing in to no avail - 3 days and still no response after requesting a person (and an issue they caused), guess AI doesn’t know how to escalate, not such a happy customer over here. Thankfully I never closed down my Substack account when I moved over to them so it was all here, dormant in waiting.
In the past this would have really stressed me out, but after 13 years, I’m happy to at least know all these different email platforms well enough that the transitions are seamless lol. Anyway, that’s a little bit of what’s been going on over here behind the scenes.
I also got a bad case of influenza a and could literally not get out of bed or move. It was the sickest I’ve been in who knows how long, and I couldn’t even look at a screen because my eyes hurt to much, so I just laid in bed, with full body chills, miserable. It was not a fun week.
Let’s dive in to some goodness!

Chocolate coins (make your own chocolates for loved ones)
5 minute cheese fondue (so quick and easy!)
If you’re not feeling like thinking up a menu, why not try meal delivery for Valentines day? My favorite is Home Chef, they have great seasonal menus!
On the blog this week
In this weeks Love List I’m sharing a bunch of things we watched and then the funny 2024 Williams Sonoma haters guide.

This came very highly recommended for Sams sensitive skin, but oh my is it pricey.
I’m trying a new toothpaste. I’ve heard this one is amazing, but it’s taking me a second to get used to the ‘natural’ flavor.
