Hi Friends,
It’s zucchini season! If you’ve ever grown zucchini you know when they grow, they grow and grow and grow! Here’s a photo of Ben when he was small, with a zucchini that was almost as big as him lol! I’m including some recipes which use this glorious vegetable.

Zucchini waffles - these are great for meal prep/prepping ahead, you can freeze them and thaw when you’re ready to enjoy.

Personal stories
We went to the zoo for over 4 hours, I don’t think I’ve ever been there that long lol. We saw ALL the animals and Ben got to feed the giraffes twice because Frankie got too scared when we walked close to them (Frankie is terrified of dogs so her being afraid did not surprise me.) Then the next day Sam and I got to go to Target to pick up a few things and Sam was beyond happy with his little dog shaped cake pop.

What to read
After finishing the lovely Swan Song by Elin Hilderbrand, I started a more sinister book: All The Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker. “A soaring thriller and an epic love story that “hits like a sledgehammer . . . an absolutely must-read novel” (Gillian Flynn, author of Gone Girl).”

This is a great time to highlight zucchini recipes - we are up to our necks in these treasures! I especially like your zucchini bread - it might be the best way to preserve this seasonal beauty.
I grilled crab legs last week - in the shell and basted with the French Salted Butter from T Joes and Old Bay - They were delicious - Just thawed in refrigerator and put on the grill. Total time - less than 10 minutes.
